Add video links instantly with video conferencing integration
Manually copying and pasting meeting links between tools takes time and increases the chance of error.
With video conferencing integration, you can automatically generate and attach secure video meeting links (Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams) from your account directly to events, candidate invitations, and calendar files.
What’s new in a nutshell
- Automatic Video Link Generation: When creating an event, a unique link is generated for each candidate once they’re assigned to a timeslot.
- Preferred Platform Support: Connect your Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams account to automatically generate meeting details.
- Per Event Type Defaults: Set whether video conferencing links are automatically turned on or off by default based on event type.
- ICS File Integration: Video links are automatically added to calendar invites and distributed to all attendees.

How to use video conferencing integration
When creating an event

1On Step 2: Event Details, you’ll see a “Make it a Platform Meeting” checkbox.

2The default setting matches your chosen Event Type but can be toggled ON or OFF.

3When enabled, a unique video link is generated for each scheduled candidate and automatically added to their invitation and calendar file.
How to activate video conferencing integration

1Ensure the user has the Video Conference Integration permission enabled.

2Go to User Settings cog in the top right and then go down to Video Conference Integration.

3Select a provider (Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams) and click Connect to Platform.

4Follow the authentication steps on your chosen platform and return to Scout Talent. The status should now display as Connected.

5Check Entity Settings > Event Types to confirm default preferences for video links are set appropriately.
