About GOC Care

GOC Care provide aged, disability and community care services for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in the Brisbane and Gold Coast community. With field and office employees in a number of locations working varying hours, it was challenging and costly for GOC Care to arrange in-person training days, hire venues and host numerous sessions on single topics.

As a not-for-profit, GOC Care were looking for a cost-effective solution to offer quality training in a convenient way to their team members. They needed consistency and oversight, and to ensure all their people could undertake adequate training

High-quality, affordable online training

Scout Learning was an easy way for GOC Care to train employees on a single online platform, without the costs associated with in-person training providers. The software enabled them to reduce their training expenses by 50%.

Previously, they could only offer training on four subjects. Now, they can offer 12-13 subjects (225% more courses), using a mixture of established training content and customised content. Customised content allows them to provide training on their code of conduct, tailored inductions and site training. The number of employees receiving the training they need has jumped dramatically from 20% to 95% (an increase of 375%). GOC Care can now train more employees, ensure compliance and keep costs within their budget.

Increased employee satisfaction

The easy-to-use system and flexible training schedule has generated a lot of lot of positive feedback from GOC Care employees. Team members can complete their training at their own place, anywhere they chose. They can also work in groups on their laptops to complete some courses together. Also, with many long-standing employees, it is a great way for GOC Care to offer refresher training, so team members can feel confident and comfortable in delivering excellent service.
