Enhancing Your Experience
We’re thrilled to introduce a series of Quality of Life Improvements to :Recruit, aimed at refining your user experience and maximising the platform’s potential.
Jobs Page
- Better Version Control: Now, when revisions are made, they’re marked as “cloned,” which helps keep track of different versions.
- Improved Performance: We updated how the system handles the size of job postings to make the system work better and faster.
Dashboard
- Easier Task Management: We’ve introduced ⌨️ keyboard functionality in addition to the existing drop-down menus for selecting dates and times. This improvement allows for easier task updating, giving you the flexibility to edit dates using your preferred method.
Approval Forms
- PDF Handling: You can now easily export PDFs in Approval Forms for better document management. Simply navigate into the desired approval form and find the PDF button in the screen’s top right corner.
- Smoother Entity Management: We’ve simplified template management in approval forms by removing the default option for entity creation. Now, when creating templates, you have the choice to either select a default template or create a new one.
- Improved Interaction on Forms: We made it easier to see questions that have been answered but are now disabled, whether you’re viewing or editing the form.

New Features
- New Application Status: We added a “Rated and Ranked” status for applications to help you to track them more clearly.
- Removing Approvers: HR admins can now remove approvers from forms that are waiting for approval.
- Including Pinned Users: Pinned users will now receive reminders about job postings that are about to expire.
- Optional Phone Number: We made the phone number field optional for public approval links.
Updates
- Trash Function for Email Templates: You can now move email templates to the trash for easier document management.
- Data Consistency: To ensure consistency, we added checks to make sure data columns aren’t empty.
- Consistent Display: Fields now always start on a new line to make everything look the same.
Bug Fixes
Continuous improvement of the platform’s performance and reliability.
In our latest update, we’ve addressed several bugs to ensure a seamless and efficient recruiting experience.
Here’s a quick rundown of the fixes:

Document Size Validation: To prevent technical issues, we now limit document sizes to 50MB to avoid overwhelming the system.

Job Branding and Approval Form Cloning: We fixed issues with branding on job postings and cloning approval forms to make things run more smoothly.

Fixed Blank Job Page Issue: Sometimes, the job page would go blank, causing inconvenience for recruiters. We fixed this problem so recruiters can work without interruptions.

Default Approvers Redesign: We redesigned how default approvers work to improve the approval process.

Job Ads Navigation Fix: We fixed a recent problem with navigating to recently posted job ads.

Approval Managers Search Fix: The search function for approval managers is now working as expected.

User Roles and Permissions: We made sure that updates to user roles and permissions happen quickly and accurately by implementing automated cache refreshers on the backend.
